About

Regulatory work succeeds when people can actually execute it.

Across 4+ years in life insurance operations, my career has been built in the part of insurance where product rules, documentation, systems, underwriting, suitability, producers, and customer outcomes meet. I have handled complex life and annuity cases, supported new-product and workflow changes, trained peers on regulatory processes, built tracking tools, and helped teams make quality-sensitive work more consistent.

That is the perspective I bring to compliance: requirements have to become repeatable operational behavior. My strongest fit is in roles that need someone who can understand a requirement, find where execution breaks down, document expectations clearly, support implementation, and escalate when something does not align.

My direct insurance experience is in life and annuity operations. I am also interested in personal-lines compliance because the core capabilities—regulatory implementation, documentation review, procedures, controls, quality, monitoring, issue escalation, and cross-functional change—transfer directly even when the underlying product changes.

Suitability support • Documentation

CareMatters Annuity suitability guidance

Guidance & knowledge transfer

Challenge

CareMatters Annuity cases involve product-specific suitability questions, replacement considerations, customer-profile documentation, training requirements, signatures, and supporting materials.

What I implemented

Contributed to developing and maintaining practical suitability guidance that organized documentation expectations and common points of clarification for financial professionals and reviewers.

Why it matters

Clearer shared guidance supports more consistent review, reduces avoidable follow-up, and makes regulatory expectations easier to carry out in day-to-day operations.

Regulatory training • Standardization

New York Regulation 60 & suitability training

Peer training

Challenge

Case managers needed a consistent operational understanding of New York Regulation 60, New York suitability, final-action requirements, and new-business review procedures.

What I implemented

Developed and delivered peer presentations, review sessions, and practical process guidance that translated the required workflow into usable steps for day-to-day case handling.

Why it matters

Training strengthens procedural consistency and gives teams a shared reference point when handling regulated work or escalating questions.

Monitoring • Excel reporting

Underwriting decision-review time tracker

Measurement & visibility

Challenge

Leadership needed better visibility into how long underwriting decision reviews were taking and where process bottlenecks might exist.

What I built

Created an Excel tracker for underwriter decision-review times and shared the data so leaders could examine turnaround patterns and investigate process opportunities.

Why it matters

Turning operational events into structured monitoring data creates the visibility needed for trend analysis, issue identification, and informed process decisions.

Product launch • Procedures

NAVUL new-business process documentation

Launch readiness

Challenge

A new life-insurance product required frontline teams to understand new case-management procedures, review steps, handoffs, and operational expectations.

What I implemented

Worked with process managers on NAVUL case-management procedures, job aids, and workflow recommendations to help turn the product launch into repeatable operational guidance.

Why it matters

Product compliance depends on operational readiness. Documented procedures and clear handoffs help reduce variation when a new product or requirement moves from design into production.

CareMatters Annuity product launch

Regulatory research, process design & launch stabilization

Challenge

Launching CareMatters Annuity required frontline processes to account for annuity-specific suitability, replacement, and 1035 exchange considerations while giving case teams clear documentation expectations and handoffs.

What I implemented

Researched applicable regulatory and operational requirements, compared them with existing workflows, and helped establish job aids, case-management guidance, review steps, and escalation paths. I translated launch requirements into practical instructions frontline teams could use consistently.

Cross-functional collaboration

Partnered with specialized teams including Suitability and 1035 exchange partners, along with underwriting, sales, process management, training, and operations, to define responsibilities, documentation expectations, and handoffs that aligned day-to-day execution with regulatory needs.

Launch & stabilization

Supported implementation, surfaced post-launch scenarios that required clarification or correction, and helped refine guidance as real cases exposed gaps or ambiguity in the new process.

Automation • Change adoption

Frontline testing for workflow automation

Pilot & implementation support

Challenge

Automation changes only work when the resulting workflow is accurate, usable, and aligned with the real scenarios frontline teams encounter.

What I changed

Supported pilots involving automated correspondence, payment verification, automated comments for third-party requirements, reissue workflows, and final-action/QC work. My role included testing real scenarios, identifying gaps, giving developer and process feedback, and helping teams adopt the new workflow.

Scale

Across my broader enablement work, I supported adoption of 12 automation products and created more than 50 learning or process assets used across multiple audiences.

Professional experience

4+ years in life insurance, with depth in regulated operations, implementation, and quality.

My value is the operational side of compliance: disciplined documentation, consistent execution, regulatory-process research, clear escalation, training, quality, measurement, and implementation.
